Scottish Christian Party Leader to stand in Na h-Eileanan an Iar for the General Election 2024 The Leader of the Scottish Christian Party Dr Donald Boyd (68) has been selected as its candidate for the Na h-Eileanan an Iar constituency in the next General Election expected in 2024. Dr Boyd, the leader of the Scottish Christian Party since 2010, has stood in various elections in the north of Scotland and he accuses the SNP of having failed the Scottish people and the Highlands and Islands in particular. He said: “I am happy to represent my mother’s native isle, which I have known since childhood. The House of Commons needs to have a Christian Voice at such a time as this, and Western Isles voters have the opportunity to provide this.” Having written national Manifestos for the Christian Party, Dr Boyd has applied Christian principles to local, national and international politics. Voters in the Western Isles have consistently supported the Christian Party over the past two decades. If even 50% of Christians would vote for Donald this is likely to secure victory to give a Christian Voice promoting Christian values as the solution to the many problems that are destroying the foundations of UK society and damaging children. Dr Donald Boyd is a retired medical doctor with a long interest in public life. He and his wife have four adult children. As an Inverness Community Councillor he has been active and successful in planning and transport issues in Inverness. Having been an ecclesiastical representative at the European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg, he has a wide knowledge of the interaction between Christianity and politics, which will serve the Na h-Eileanan an Iar constituency well in the next Parliament.
